year is halfway over, and we’re thrilled to be entering the second phase. With new partnerships, customers, and features, we just couldn’t wait to share all the excitement that is happening with built.io.
AppGyver – it’s a rap (sic)!
We’ve partnered with AppGyver, a provider of innovative frontend development tools, to bring rapid visual mobile app development to the enterprise. Companies can now create sophisticated enterprise mobile applications in minutes, instead of weeks or even months.
(For built.io family and friends only, email us for the secret link to the built.io vs AppGyver rap battle video.)
Earlier this year we partnered with well-known frontend company, Xamarin. This partnership allows us to bring the power of built.io to more than half a million .Net developers. By integrating the built.io component into their applications, Xamarin users have easy access to all of built.io’s award winning features.
Dyce – Be bold. Dyce up your night!
Dyce, a slick nightlife concierge app, was developed on built.io and has taken the city by storm. Dyce selects six of the best bars or restaurants close by and a roll of the Dyce will decide where you and your friends go. Dyce provides directions on how to get there as well as tips & ratings for when you arrive.
McAfee Social Wall
The social wall is a feed and visually stunning content aggregator for events both large and small (think Executive Briefing Centers or VIP suites). Tap into any social channel and share the best, most relevant content on a screen as big as a wall. A designated administrator can edit keywords, hashtags, and handles that are being pulled into the wall – and we can of course filter out naughty words automatically. Most recently spotted at the McAfee booth during the 2014 RSA Conference where it was a huge hit, making attendees feel in the know and connected to the larger McAfee community through social media. Another application powered, of course, by built.io.

Bigger, Better, Beautiful Office
Because we’re growing, we’ve moved to a new office at One Hallidie Plaza, just across the BART station from our previous office in the historic Flood Building. We would love for you to come by and visit us!
DeveloperWeek 2014 was an exciting time for the built.io team. We had a booth, and we taught a class on building a to-do app, but we also announced our PaaS (platform as a service) offering! We hosted an Internet of Things event at Très, in San Francisco, which was a huge success.
Mobile World Congress, Barcelona
At Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, we sponsored and judged the University Mobile Challenge. We also showcased some futuristic use cases powered by built.io at our booth as part of the main conference.
As a female led technology company, we decided to attend the Women 2.0 conference this year. With a booth in Innovation Hall, we shared demos and met some incredible women leaders in the industry.
Women Who Code
Women of all coding levels – beginner to advanced – were present at the event the Women Who Code iOS App Workshop, learning from each other as they teamed up in groups of two. As a sponsor of the event, raw engineering CEO, Neha Sampat, and team were excited to connect with iOS developers and explain how built.io can help them bring their ideas to life by building a full-featured mobile application.
Enterprise Apps World, London
We traveled to London to showcase how incredible built.io is when partnered with AppGyver Composer. Check out pictures of our joint booth with the AppGyver team!
We’re looking forward to more growth and excitement in the remainder of 2014, and can’t wait to share it with you!
DevNetwork Developer Landscape
This year, we were honored to be named a leading mobile app platform in DevNetwork’s Developer Landscape, which showcases the best developer technologies in each category.
built.io was also named a finalist at the TiE50 Awards 2014.
On behalf of the entire built.io and raw engineering family, thank you for your support! Looking forward to an even more exciting second half of the year.
Check back tomorrow; we have some big news brewing and we don't want you to miss it!
